President Buhari Should Proscribe CAN, JNI - Catholic Priest Demands

Reverend Father Gabriel Teruwose Ngebea, has called on the President Muhammadu Buhari led government to proscribe the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) as well as Jamatul Nasrul Islam (JNI).
The Catholic Priest revealed that the proscription of CAN and JNI will lead to the adherence to Nigerian Constitution which states that Nigeria is a multi-religious country.
Speaking in the nation's capital on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, the Reverend Father emphasised that the proscription of the two groups will go a long way to stop religious crisis being fueled in the country.
According to Ngebea, “CAN and JNI should be proscribed because apart from their failed mandate of advancing religious interests that these bodies have constituted themselves into a political organization, often deployed to pursue political interests.”
